RED ROCK CHAPTER MEETING MINUTES
MAY 21, 2007

Meeting was called to order at 7:20pm

Vice President:  No report

Treasurer:  Beginning balance:  $3946.88.  Ending balance:  $5594.27.  50/50:  $325.00.

Habitat:  The Sorber Mountain road clean-up was completed on April 29, with a good turnout of members. It is likely that we will be getting a new Adopt-A-Highway sign to replace the one that was damaged.   The June 9-10 planting project is uncertain due to Gene Weiner’s retirement.  The date will likely be postponed due to bulldozing that needs to be completed.  Dale would like to plan a 2-day mowing project at the end of July/mid-August.  Tom saw trees that were planted at Beech Lake Road and said they are doing well, with leaves and blooms.

President:  The Luzerne County Conservation District check was not received.  We are still awaiting the check for the scholarship.  Dale has 40 bags of corn from the Conservation Seed Program.

JAKES:  Our JAKES event had 266 registrations, with 243 attending.  112 additional T-Shirts were ordered, and we are still awaiting those.  We should break even financially for the event.  Chastity also discussed the problem areas that will need to be resolved for next year’s event.
