RED ROCK CHAPTER MEETING MINUTES
JANUARY 15, 2007
Meeting was called to order at 7:04pm
Vice President: No report
Treasurer: Beginning balance: $4884.16. Ending balance: $6062.58. 50/50: $426.00
Habitat: The Beech Lake area planting project is scheduled for March 17-18, 2007. Equipment needs were discussed. The Sorber Mountain cutting project is to take place as planned January 20-21. Volunteers are to meet at 8:00am.
JAKES: No report. The JAKES committee meeting is to take place January 16, 2007 at the Farmer’s Inn.
Banquet: The various raffles were discussed. Ray Smith is coming to the January 29, 2007 banquet meeting. The underwrites and donations that were received so far were reviewed. George’s Reloading will be donating a 7mm.08 rifle with scope and case for the banquet. The next banquet meeting is scheduled for January 22, 2007 at Rodano’s.
President: The donated crab apple trees, 50, valued at approximately $250 each, were received and secured, and a thank you letter was sent to the donor. We have received no responses thus far from the corporate sponsor invitations for the banquet. Various options were discussed for getting our chapter’s web site updated. Damien suggested his students managing a site as a Senior school project. The new DART system will be at the Pennsylvania Outdoor Expo in Harrisburg March 22-25. Volunteers are requested to manage the system at the show. Our chapter received the 80% award for our 2006 Hunting Heritage banquet at the recent state awards banquet.
